About Your Role
As a Network Engineer supporting Remote Access & Zero-Trust Proxy at Fiserv, you will be a key contributor to the design, implementation, and support of secure access solutions across our global enterprise. You’ll lead initiatives to modernize remote access, enforce zero-trust principles, and optimize egress proxy infrastructure—ensuring secure, reliable, and policy-driven connectivity for users, applications, and services. This role is ideal for network engineers who are passionate about security, performance, and user experience in distributed environments.
What you’ll do:
- Manage secure remote access solutions using VPN, ZTNA, and identity-aware proxies
- Design and enforce zero-trust access policies for users, devices, and applications
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) environments
- Manage and optimize egress proxy infrastructure, including forward and reverse proxy configurations
- Integrate Zscaler with identity providers (e.g., Azure AD, Okta) and endpoint posture tools
- Monitor proxy traffic, analyze logs, and tune policies to improve performance and security
- Collaborate with security, networking, and endpoint teams to align access controls with enterprise standards while you document architecture, configurations, and operational procedures for access and proxy systems
- Participate in incident response and troubleshooting related to access and proxy services
Experience you’ll need to have:
- 4+ years of experience in a network security, remote access, or infrastructure engineering role
- 2+ years of experience with scripting or automation (e.g., Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform)
- 2+ years of experience with network standards and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, TLS) and secure tunneling methods
- 2+ years of experience with log analysis and SIEM tools for access-related events
- 2+ years of experience with SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and integration with IAM platforms
- Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience
Experience that would be great to have:
- Prior experience with Zscaler and/or F5 load balancers
- Experience supporting F5 BigIP or Cisco Anyconnect VPN
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across technical and business teams
- Experience with Agile methodologies and DevSecOps practices

- This role requires being on-call during non-standard and/or overnight hours on a rotational basis

Travel:
- Approximately 10% travel off-site or to other office locations is expected
