This position is under the direct supervision of the Manager for assigned, high-profile site and performs a variety of Security Escort-related duties. Given the nature of the assignment, candidates must possess a Department of Energy (DOE) "Q" Clearance with HRP.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY

Basic Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship preferred
- Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
- Must possess an active DOE "Q" clearance and be HRP
- Must have a reliable means of communication (i.e., phone) and means of transportation (public or private).
- Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Ability to acquire and maintain any other specific special clearances/access requirements
- Current, valid driver’s license
Education/Experience
- High School Diploma or G.E.D
- At least three (3) months' experience performing work in a public safety and/or security-related position
- Related experience preferred
Background Prerequisites
Must undergo and meet company standards for background and reference checks, controlled substance testing, and behavioral selection survey, in addition to any mandatory licensing requirements

- Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing requirements for security personnel.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn security operations and procedures.

WORKING CONDITIONS (Physical/Mental Demands)

- Maintaining composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff and the public, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations

- Close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus. Assignment requires eyesight that is correctable to a minimum of 20/40; must have hearing that is correctable to a minimum 35 decibels above average at frequencies of 500, 1000 and 2000 hertz
- May be required to use a vehicle in the performance of duties. Vehicles are to include but not limited to: cars, trucks, electric carts, and bicycles.
- On occasion, it may be required to perform stressful physical activity.
- Depending upon assignment may be exposed to inclement weather or be required to work in environments or under conditions that require the use of protective gear and devices and/or awareness of personal safety and safety of others.
- Potential exposure to equipment movement hazards, dangerous chemicals/solvents, or hazardous and radioactive materials if proper safety procedures are not followed

Wage: In addition to the base wage for this position, assignments may include an additional $5.36 of Health & Welfare (H&W)

- Based on assignment, paid time off (PTO) for full-time employees ranges from 80-160 hours/year based on tenure in the position; sick leave is a minimum of 56 hours per year for a full-time employee.
