As the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis (Manager, FP&A), you will perform budgeting, forecasting and reporting for all areas of the organization. You will get to partner closely with the external accounting firm, functional and department heads, and the executive team to understand the operational elements that impact budgeting and forecasting necessary to drive organizational profitability. In your role as the Manager, FP&A, you will collaborate with leadership and lead the budget process to develop budgets for each function and the company as a whole. The Manager, FP&A will analyze financial data, develop key financial reports & budgets, generate various financial models to inform good business decisions, and communicate the financial position of the company to the executive team and Board of Directors, all while reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.
- Compile, analyze, evaluate, report, and present financial forecasts, budgets, and variances, communicating financial information to the executive leadership, functional/department heads, and the Board of Directors.
- Prepare financial results and analysis for weekly business reviews, monthly/quarterly/annual financial reviews, monthly forecasting, annual operating planning/budgeting, and long-range planning.
- Lead the budget process, collaborating with the executive team and functional/department heads in the development of departmental and organizational budgets.
- Partner closely with the external accounting firm to obtain key financial details necessary for budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of financial data.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to support good business decisions across the organization.
- Maintain product P&Ls, communicating with Product and Cost Center owners around related cost allocations.
- Ensure all financial submissions to leadership are accurate, timely, and in accordance with guidelines for external reporting of consolidated product P&L.
- Communicate financial risks and recommendations of appropriate risk treatments to inform good business decisions by leadership.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related technical field from a regionally accredited college or university.
- Minimum of five (5) years of practical work experience in accounting and/or finance role within the consumer goods industry.
- Minimum of two (2) years of practical work experience specifically in a finance role.
- Thorough knowledge of US GAAP.
- Demonstrated understanding of financial statements.
- Strong financial modeling capabilities in a variety of financial models including, but not limited to, forward-looking 13-week cashflow, integrated 3-statement models, and discounted cashflow (DCF).
- Analytical – proven ability to quickly identifying anomalies, inconsistencies, errors, and drawing appropriate, logical, evidence-based conclusions.
- Strong problem-solving skills – approaches each problem with a solution mindset, applying innovation and creativity to solve problems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills – able to connect to and work with various personality types at all levels of the organization.
- Detail oriented and organized – able to manage and deliver on multiple competing priorities in a timely and efficient manner.
- Strong ability to communicate clearly – verbally, written, and through compelling presentations – information and ideas helping audiences to understand and retain the message.
- Systems experience – proficiency with one or more Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
- Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
- Minimum of intermediate level experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) or Google Workspace (Docs, Present, Gmail, Meet).
WHAT WILL HELP YOU STAND OUT:
- Current Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Current Certified Financial Analyst (CFA)
- Prior experience in Financial Planning & Analysis within the Tabletop Games sector of the Consumer Goods industry is highly preferred.
- Prior experience with Sage or Sage Intact ERP is highly preferred.
- Understanding of SEC reporting standards and requirements is preferred; prior experience is highly preferred.
- Prior practical work experience in Public Accounting in an accounting or finance role is preferred; Big4 experience is highly preferred.
- Experience in a growth company and in a growth environment is preferred.
- MBA is preferred.
