Position Summary Details The Lead Janitor oversees the cleaning and maintenance of a facility, ensuring a safe, sanitary, and well-maintained environment. This role includes supervising janitorial staff, coordinating cleaning schedules, inspecting work quality, and performing hands-on cleaning duties. The Lead Janitor serves as the point of contact for cleaning-related issues and supports the team in achieving high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Responsibilities - Supervise and coordinate daily activities of janitorial staff.
- Assign tasks and monitor completion to ensure quality standards are met.
- Train new janitors on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and equipment use.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal.
- Inspect facilities regularly and report maintenance needs or safety hazards.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; request replenishments as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Respond to urgent cleaning needs or special requests.
- Communicate effectively with building management and other departments.
Qualifications - Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must meet all requirements to receive approval for working in specific ATS environments (if applicable), ten-year work history if available
Preferred Qualifications - Customer Service Experience
- One year of lead or supervisory experience
