Job Summary
At KBR/Fort Hood, we're seeking a driven Tool and Parts Attendant candidate to join our Aviation Maintenance Team to help support Aviation Flight Operations and Aircraft Maintenance Operations. Your contributions will be instrumental in efficiently executing aircraft maintenance on the AH-64E and CH-47F Rotary Wing Aircraft. To include the associated Aviation Ground Support Equipment (AGSE). Your efforts will ensure Aviation Maintenance and Flight Operations stay on schedule. Roles and Responsibilities
- Sets, maintain, and issues gauges, tools, and measuring instruments for use by manufacturing and to inspect in-process and final machined parts.
- Forecast, request, process, issue, stock, and turn-in special tools for aircraft and AGSE.
- Shall use the Aircraft Notebook System (ACN) to manage all tools.
- Ensure that items requiring calibration are enrolled in a comprehensive calibration program in accordance with Army Regulations, DA Pamphlets, Training Bulletins, and Technical Circulars
- Manage the Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) system and coordinate the calibration schedule with the local TMDE facility.
- Notify the Lead Tool and Parts Attendant of any delays in performance.
- Maintain accountability of all items tracked within TMRS.
- Work involves working shifts (day shift, mid-shift, and late shift).
- Work is completed in an Aviation Hangar at West Fort Hood
- Candidates will be exposed to extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, and rain) and will be subject to loud noises, and dust.
Basic Qualifications
- High School
- 2- years’ experience (Military Aviation or Tool Room Management, or Aviation Stock Clerk)
- Must have a Texas Driver’s License
- No clearance required
- Must be able to lift to 25 pounds or more
- Must be on a shift schedule involving day shift, mid-shift, and night shift
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiar with TRMS
- Familiar with TMDE program
- Knowledge of Army Maintenance Management Systems such as GCSS-Army.
- Experience supporting AH-64E Apache and CH-47F Chinook aircraft maintenance operations.
