Job Summary
We are seeking a highly capable and mission-focused Heavy Trucker Driver – Fuel Specialist to support a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Training Program. As a Heavy Trucker Driver – Fuel Specialist, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of fuel logistics, including loading, transporting, and offloading fuel to support field operations, emergency response efforts, and site deployments. You will operate specialized fuel trucks and equipment, maintain strict compliance with safety and environmental standards, and collaborate closely with dispatchers, maintenance crews, and field personnel to ensure seamless fuel supply chain execution. This role is integral to the success of our team’s military support operations—where fuel is not just a resource, but a lifeline. Your work will directly impact the continuity of operations and mission readiness.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provided direct support of the 302nd Squadron, 166th Aviation Brigade fuel operations support requirements as a Driver Heavy Truck, Fuel Specialist.
- Receive, transport, and store bulk fuels
- Operated equipment associated with petroleum distribution systems and multi-product pipeline systems, issued and dispensed bulk fuels from storage and distribution facilities and bulk tank tactical vehicles to the customer as missions dictated.
- Extract and submit POL samples to the installation laboratory for testing.
- Perform petroleum accounting duties, conduct daily fueling and defueling of vehicles, aircraft, and stationary equipment.
- Performed the construction of and recovery for all Forward Arming and Refuel Points (FARP).
- Maintain a U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) licensed HAZMAT Certifier credential.
Basic Qualifications
- A valid CDL with HAZMAT and tanker endorsements.
- Proven experience in heavy truck driving and fuel handling.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting fuel logistics in military, government, or emergency response operations is highly valued.
- Completion of OSHA 30-Hour Training, HAZWOPER certification, or other advanced safety programs related to hazardous materials handling.
- Ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance on fuel transport vehicles and equipment, including troubleshooting pump systems and valves.
- Demonstrated history of clean audits, incident-free driving, and adherence to DOT, OSHA, and HAZMAT standards.
