Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Management Specialist (Level 4 or 5) to join the Space Launch System (SLS) Launch Integrated Product Team (IPT) in Kennedy Space Center, FL!
Strong communication and organizational skills are critical to success in this position, along with the ability to build strong relationships, collaborate in a cross-functional environment, and utilize problem-solving skills to proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities.
Position Responsibilities:
- Leads, develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains integrated plans and schedules for complex projects, programs and change driven activities in accordance with project management industry.
- Leads studies/analysis (trend, variance, impact), reports, risk assessments and planning efforts to determine impacts, constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives.
- Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the business case.
- Develops and establishes lead time requirements.
- Facilitates and ensures integration of project/program plan, schedules, change and baseline management, processes, techniques considered to be best practice across the industry.
- Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
- Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion.
- Coordinates commitments with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill strategies.
- Tracking progress to cost, schedule, and technical performance using Boeing Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) and Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Supporting development of customer proposals including development of Rough Orders of
Magnitude (ROMs) and delivery dates - Briefing customer and leadership on program status
- Additional Support: This job can encompass a variety of tasking including support for
preparing IPT leadership briefs, assisting IPT leadership with scheduling needs and backup
support
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams
- Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills
- Experience in preparing and presenting executive level briefings
- 3+ years of experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Currently possess a Program Management Professional certification - Project Management Professional (PMP) certification OR Program Management Institute (PMI) certification
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering and/or a Technical discipline
- Experience in interacting with customers or suppliers regarding contract requirements and/or proposals
- Level 4 & 5: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Summary pay range:
Level 4 - $107,950 - $146,050
Level 5 - $132,600 - $179,400
