Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is looking for an Experienced Commercial Crew Command and Data Handling Engineer (Level 4) within the Command & Data Handling (C&DH) System to support the team at Kennedy Space Center, Florida.
This position includes tasks such as requirements review, documentation review/updating, supplier coordination, test conduct, data analysis and troubleshooting.
Position Responsibilities:
Oversight of hardware delivery, maintenance and install through cross-team coordination amongst several different areas of expertise included in scope of work for Service Module and Command Module components such as Flight Management Computers, Systems Management Computers, Rotational Hand Controllers, Integrated Propulsion Controllers, etc.
Flight Software interaction and other component interfaces to be understood for complete functionality comprehension of all C&DH components.
Strong communication and organizational skills required in order to effectively and efficiently collaborate across multidisciplined teams.
Strong initiative and independent learning preferred skill in order to complete tasks with minimal oversight.
Leads work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
Leads and coordinates work to analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
Leads work to test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
Oversees the team that monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
Researches technology advances for potential application to company business needs.
Makes recommendations for technology investments.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
5+ years of experience integrating hardware and software components into a functional system
5+ years of experience working with electronics and circuit design
Experience in defining test plans, procedures, and reports to validate performance specifications
Must be willing to work variable shifts; including day, evening, night, and weekend as needed
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Communications Engineering, or Computer Engineering
Ability to troubleshoot and verify electronic circuits using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, function generators and multimeters
Experience interacting with internal and external suppliers

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $119,850 - $162,150
