Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a Program Specialist to perform the responsibilities of Scrum Master / Project Manager for the Azure Cloud Team within the Caterpillar IT Division. If you want to be part of an inclusive, adaptable, and forward-thinking team, apply now.
What You Will Do:
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies. Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, backlog refinement and retrospectives. Identify and eliminate obstacles that hinder the team’s progress.
Promote Agile principles. Ensure the team adheres to Scrum values and Agile best practices. Guides team members in self-organization, cross-functionality, and continuous improvement.
Track and report progress and metrics. Monitor sprint burndown charts, velocity, and other KPIs to assess team performance.
Manage Demand Requests. Schedule intake meetings with stakeholders to clarify goals, deliverables, and success criteria. Facilitate communication across departments and ensure alignment. Coordinate resource allocations, time bucket assignments, and collect project approvals.
What You Have:
Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
Flexibility and Adaptability: Knowledge of successful approaches and techniques for dealing with change; ability to adapt to a changing environment and be comfortable with change.
Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.
Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Bachelor’s degree preferably in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field along with 9-12 years of progressively related experience.
Scrum Master Certification or equivalent experience
Project Management Certification or equivalent experience
Experience with Azure DevOps preferred

This position requires the employee to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.

Summary Pay Range:
$110,520.00 - $165,840.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
