About your role:
In this role you willarchitect and implement cloud-native infrastructure across AWS and Azure environments, ensuring security, scalability, and cost-efficiency. You will lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and Ansible while managing and optimizing Kubernetes clusters for high availability, performance, and seamless CI/CD integration.
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate with application teams to support middleware platforms including application servers (e.g., WebLogic, Tomcat) and messaging systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, IBM MQ).
- Drive observability initiatives using tools like Dynatrace, Splunk, and Prometheus to ensure system health and performance visibility.
- Automate deployment pipelines and configuration management to support rapid development cycles and zero-downtime releases.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues across cloud, container, and middleware layers.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to DevOps best practices, governance, and documentation.
- Participate in capacity planning, disaster recovery design, and performance tuning across hybrid cloud environments.
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies in cloud, containers, and observability to continuously improve infrastructure reliability and developer experience.
Experience you’ll need to have:
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
- 5+ years of experience scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and tooling
- 5+ years of deep expertise in Kubernetes, container orchestration, and container lifecycle management.
- 5+ years of experience with middleware technologies such as application servers (e.g., JBoss, WebSphere) and message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- 5+ years of experience in CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- 5+ years of experience in AWS and Azure cloud services, including networking, IAM, compute, and storage.
- 5+ years of experience with observability and telemetry tools like Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana, and Prometheus.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, military, and work experience.
Experience that would be great to have:
- Familiarity with security best practices, compliance standards, and infrastructure hardening.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional agile teams.
How you’ll work:
- This role requires being on-call during non-standard and/or overnight hours on a rotational basis.
- This role requires the use of a computer and audio equipment.
