About your role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Business Analyst to join our DNA Services team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in core financial systems software and have excellent skills in writing detailed requirements. This role is vital in working collaboratively with teams across multiple time zones, ensuring our solutions meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders.
What will you do:
- Requirements Analysis & Documentation: Gather and analyze business needs, translating them into clear functional and non-functional requirements. Develop detailed requirement specifications and comprehensive technical documentation for software features
- Project Scoping & SOW Creation: Create project scoping materials, including Statements of Work (SOWs), defining the project scope, objectives, deliverables, and preparing time and cost estimates for system development efforts
- Team Coordination & Facilitation: Collaborate with developers, QA, product owners, and stakeholders to promote transparency, mitigate impediments, and foster effective communication among cross-functional team members
- Technical Documentation, Videos & Diagrams: Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, API documentation, and user guides, ensuring clarity for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Instructional Content Development: Design user-friendly training materials and instructional videos to educate internal teams and end-users on system features and processes, enhancing user adoption and procedural compliance
- Quality Assurance Planning: Develop detailed QA test plans, test cases, and scripts for new features and regression testing of existing functionality to ensure software meets specified requirements and quality standards
- Testing & Defect Management: Execute test plans, conduct thorough functional and regression testing, document test results, and manage defect tracking to ensure all issues are resolved to meet acceptance criteria and compliance standards
What you will need to have:
- 9+ years of professional experience in roles such as Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Scrum Master in a software development environment
- Ability to articulate clear functional and non-functional requirements and create comprehensive project documentation, including SOWs and time/cost estimates
- Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, experience in developing test plans, writing test cases, and performing validation testing
- Proficiency in Jira (for issue/project tracking), Confluence (documentation), and Git (version control)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and convey technical information clearly
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of understanding complex business processes, especially in financial or payment systems, and proposing effective solutions
- Ability to multitask and perform various roles in a dynamic environment, maintaining attention to detail and quality
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
What Would Be Great to Have:
- Previous experience in financial services, banking, or payment processing software
- Relevant professional certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner), or CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional)
- Understanding of industry compliance and security standards (e.g., PCI DSS, data privacy laws)
- Familiarity with Postman (for API testing) and automation tools like Selenium
