What does a successful Activation Specialist at Fiserv do?
As an activation specialist, you will be a customer-facing financial technology professional who guides new business clients through the setup and launch of their payment processing services. This role is essential for customer onboarding and success, ensuring a smooth transition from a signed sales contract to a fully functional payment system. This is considered an entry-level position that will work closely assisting two experienced activation specialists.
What you will do:
Customer onboarding: Specialists manage the entire client activation process, which includes setting up new accounts, configuring software, and installing hardware such as credit card terminals.
Product training: They conduct training sessions for clients to ensure they understand how to use the payment processing system, including its features, workflows, and best practices.
Technical troubleshooting: Specialists diagnose and resolve technical issues related to the payment application or connectivity. They may also escalate more complex problems to internal technical teams.
Compliance guidance: They educate merchants on important topics such as Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance, refund procedures, and managing chargebacks.
Customer support: Throughout the activation period, specialists act as a point of contact for customer inquiries and help address any concerns to ensure a high level of satisfaction.
Relationship management: This role builds strong relationships with new customers, proactively engaging them to encourage product feature adoption and increase usage volume.
What you need to have:
High school diploma is required, and an associate's or bachelor's degree in a business-related field is often preferred.
