What does a successful Operations Manager do?
At Fiserv, an Operations Manager is pivotal in managing relationships with MasterCard, Visa, and STAR Access for Payment Acceptance. You will leverage your management skills and industry expertise to drive project success, ensure compliance with Card Brand requirements, and support Fiserv’s business lines. Collaborating with diverse teams, you will play a crucial role in updating our systems and achieving sponsorship project objectives, ensuring smooth operations in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
What you will do:
- Liaise directly with MasterCard, Visa, and STAR Access, acting as the subject matter expert for these Card Brands.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to set up, add, update, or remove Acquiring Bank/Sponsorship structures.
- Contribute to Fiserv projects by updating systems based on specific requirements and team guidance.
- Assist with or manage projects from initial requirements and Business Case to successful launch, including detailing, organizing, and controlling the project.
- Develop and execute effective communication plans for smooth project progression.
- Adapt to a diversified and changing environment while prioritizing tasks and long-range and short-range planning.
- Supervise staff positions as needed in the future.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you will need to have:
- 4+ years of experience in operations management within the financial services industry.
- 3+ years of experience managing projects, from requirements gathering through to launch, including using project management tools such as MS Project or similar.
- 2+ years of experience working with MasterCard, Visa, and/or STAR Access.
- 3+ years of experience in setting up and managing Acquiring Bank/Sponsorship structures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, and/or equivalent military experience.
What would be great to have:
- 7+ years of experience in operations management in a highly diversified and complex environment.
- 6+ years of experience in compliance and regulatory requirements related to payment acceptance and Card Brands.
- Certified Payment Professional (CPP) or relevant industry certification.
- 6+ years of experience in developing and executing communication plans.
- Advanced proficiency in project management software tools.

- This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
