Roles and Responsibilities
Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be required to lead a junior team. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others.
Cleaning and other preventative maintenance of CMM’s.
Verification of CMM’s & Laser Tracker equipment.
Scheduling of CMM calibrations.
Track and procure CMM accessory inventory.
Assist with Gage R&Rs studies.
Data analysis and reporting/communicating/interpreting results for the team.
Acquire objective evidence for program revisions. (Gage R&R studies)
Set up and perform fixture calibrations.
Set up Laser Tracker and perform scans as needed.
Conduct program changes for CID (Change in Design) incorporation or program enhancements as needed.
Assist in trouble shooting CMM machine operational and inspection issues.
Required Qualifications
Desired Characteristics
Hexagon and Zeiss CMM experience.
Working knowledge of PC-DMIS and Calypso programming
Strong knowledge of GD&T.
Ability to interpret drawing specifications.
CAD experience a plus.
Must be a self-starter, capable of working without direct supervision.
Must be capable of working in and promoting a team environment.
Can facilitate training and problem solve.
Microsoft 365 experience a plus.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
