Amentum is seeking an Industrial Hygienist 2 in Las Vegas, NV.
Purpose and Scope:
Perform a range of basic industrial hygiene assignments under minimal supervision and provide routine advice and assistance to customers.
Compensation:
The annual starting salary rate for this position is $ 80,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Identify and monitor occupational health hazards in the workplace in accordance with established procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards and regulations.
- Conduct routine industrial hygiene surveys. Monitor program performance, developing and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Develop, implement, and maintain industrial hygiene programs and procedures.
- Provide industrial hygiene training support.
- Support Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health (ESOH) programs with focus on Industrial Hygiene and Air Force Bioenvironmental Engineering (radiation, industrial hygiene, environmental protection, and emergency response) requirements. Review purchase orders requiring safety and health evaluations, approvals, and/or inspections.
- Provide updates of SDS or database management and ensure that affected departments are aware of the updates.
- Maintain a working knowledge of specific requirements imposed by government agencies, the Air Force, and other customer requirements.
- Perform audits of health and safety program to identify and control conditions or acts posing a potential hazard to personnel, facilities, equipment or the environment.
- Develop, implement and promote communication programs to enhance and encourage employee awareness of incident prevention, industrial hygiene and environmental compliance.
- Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Bachelor's degree in industrial Hygiene, or at least 3 years of experience in Environmental, Safety, or Occupational Health programs.
- Ability to obtain Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician (OHST) within 1 year.
- Good written communication skills; working knowledge of Office Suite and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
- Position may require travel.
- Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
