Work You’ll Do
The Maritime Seaports & Transportation Market Manager is a client-facing leadership role responsible for driving sales and delivery in the maritime seaport market, with a secondary focus on expanding Deloitte’s footprint in the broader transportation sector. This individual will be accountable for building and converting pipeline opportunities into sales, particularly in prioritized ports with a focus on infrastructure capital projects and technology-enabled operational improvement solutions. A critical aspect of this role is leveraging knowledge/experience in port operations to bring credibility, insight, and practical understanding to both solution development and client engagements. The Manager will provide market-driven input to tailor Deloitte’s Infrastructure Insights Pro (IIP) offering to port and transportation client needs and lead go-to-market sales initiatives. The role also includes strategic teaming with Architecture & Engineering (A&E) firms and technology alliance partners, and close collaboration with State and Local account teams and the Maritime Seaport Center of Excellence (COE).
•Sales & Pipeline Conversion
oDrive the development and conversion of pipeline opportunities to sales in prioritized maritime seaports, leveraging port experience to build trust and credibility with clients.
oLead sales pursuits for infrastructure capital projects and technology-enabled operational improvement solutions, translating operational requirements into compelling value propositions.
oDevelop and execute go-to-market strategies for Deloitte’s Infrastructure Insights Pro (IIP) offering, ensuring solutions are tailored to the unique operational realities and challenges of port and transportation clients.
•Client Delivery & Solution Tailoring
oOversee delivery of projects in the maritime seaport and transportation markets, ensuring high client satisfaction and measurable outcomes.
oApply firsthand port operational experience to inform the design, customization, and implementation of technology-enabled solutions, ensuring they address real-world challenges and deliver practical value.
oServe as a trusted advisor to clients, using industry credibility and operational insight to address complex operational and capital investment challenges.
•Teaming & Ecosystem Engagement
oBuild and manage strategic relationships with A&E firms and technology alliance partners to deliver integrated solutions.
oLead and participate in joint pursuits, solution development, and delivery efforts with ecosystem partners, ensuring operational requirements are central to solution design.
•Collaboration & Leadership
oWork closely with State and Local account teams and leadership to coordinate market activities and leverage cross-sector opportunities.
oCollaborate with the Maritime Seaport Center of Excellence (COE) to share operational insights, develop best practices, and drive innovation.
oMentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
•Market Growth & Thought Leadership
oMonitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to inform Deloitte’s market strategy.
oRepresent Deloitte at industry events and forums, enhancing the firm’s brand and thought leadership in the maritime seaport and transportation sectors.

Qualifications
Required:
•Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree in business, engineering, transportation or related field preferred
•4+ years of direct experience working in or with maritime seaports, with a deep understanding of port operations, infrastructure projects, and technology solutions
•Demonstrated ability to translate operational port requirements into effective solutions and articulate these needs to both clients and internal teams
•Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
•Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role
•Ability to travel up to 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Preferred:
•Experience in sales, business development, or client delivery in the port or transportation sector
•Experience with technology-enabled solutions for infrastructure and operational improvements
•Experience leading joint pursuits and collaborative solution development efforts
