The National Security Sector, Force Protection Solutions Division is seeking an accomplished Senior Engineer in our Reston, Virginia office. The successful technology leader will drive rapid transition of cutting-edge solutions, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), autonomous systems, advanced networking, and cyber capabilities into operational use within the Army’s Multi-Domain Operations (MDO) Intelligence environment to improve command and control (C2) operations and C2 countermeasures (c-C2). This Key Personnel opportunity is in anticipation of an upcoming contract award!
This role directly supports the Army G-2 Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Task Force and GSA FEDSIM “Integrated, Next-Generation, Versatile, Intelligence, Capabilities, Technologies, and Applications” (INVICTA) $800M+ Cost-Plus Award Fee program and prioritizes delivering solutions that achieve interoperability with Joint and Coalition partners, ensuring forces can operate as an integrated and agile team enabling seamless communication, Situational Awareness (SA), and real-time decision support in Multi-Domain environments.
The successful leader will thrive in thought leadership, delivering warfighter innovation in a multi-tenant, multi-project CONUS and OCONUS environment. The leader will ensure the Army G-2’s strategic direction and high-impact initiatives for transformation are achieved through continuous identification and incorporation of new or evolving C2, c-C2, and SA technologies for MDO from government, industry, and academia; ensure consistent maturing of strategic artifacts that exceed stakeholder goals; and partner with enterprise leadership to facilitate transparent internal and external communication and outreach with government stakeholders that maximizes seamless management of enterprise resources, budget, and schedule to ensure high end-user satisfaction.
What you’ll be doing:
- Successfully and strategically partner with enterprise leadership, government stakeholders and industry to provide seamless information sharing, visualization, and decision support capabilities across NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and commercial networks to ensure global accessibility and classification-aware operations.
- Serve as the customer’s primary contact for technology infusion, partnering to ensure high impact results in alignment with stakeholder goals.
- Ensure rapid and leading-edge innovation to evolve and improve C2, c-C2, and SA technologies, including conducting advanced research and technology trade-off study assessments.
- Lead intelligence information requirements gathering and technology transition planning, while ensuring accurate architecture baselines and technology artifacts.
- Lead development of MDO products and solutions (i.e., SA products and/or software that enhance C2 and c-C2 missions; integration with TAK and COTS capabilities), achieved through highly engaged collaboration with stakeholders and industry experts.
- Resolve highly complex and multi-dimensional problems requiring consideration of variables that impact multiple aspects of the program.
- Support issue and risk management, developing mitigation strategies and facilitating resolution in collaboration with enterprise leadership.
- Drive process improvements and ensure compliance with organizational standards of exceptional customer satisfaction.
What does Leidos need from me?
- Active Top Secret security clearance with immediate SCI eligibility required.
- Engineering bachelor’s degree with minimum 15 years’ experience, including recent demonstrated expertise with rapid prototyping, development, test and evaluation of complex concepts similar in size and scope.
- Minimum 10 years’ recent engineering experience, possessing knowledge and mastery of highly advanced MDO technologies and integration of SA, COTS, C2, and/or counter-C2 technologies capabilities, scientific principles, theories and concepts for DoD organizations similar in size, scope, and complexity.
- Minimum 10 years’ impactful leadership conceiving, planning, and conducting analysis and execution for complex technological challenges similar in size and scope.
- Experience leading strategic outreach efforts to external Government agencies, programs, and resources similar in size, scope, and complexity.
- Ability to travel 15 to 25% to customer sites (CONUS, OCONUS – Passport required).
Favorable if you have:
- Army G-2 engineering experience, possessing knowledge and mastery of highly advanced MDO technologies and integration of SA, C2, and/or counter-C2 technologies capabilities, scientific principles, theories and concepts for DoD organizations similar in size, scope, and complexity.
- Army G-2 experience managing strategic outreach efforts to external Government agencies, programs, and resources similar in size, scope, and complexity.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $148,850.00 - $269,075.00
