Description:What You Will Be Doing: This position for a multi-discipline Structures Engineer Field Team Support– Level 3 requires the candidate to perform problem analysis, troubleshooting, and repair support for the F-35. This position will require hands on structural or sub-systems aircraft repair experience. Travel will be required to perform hands on repairs and technical assistance as needed.
Applicant will be required to accomplish in-depth analysis and repair of F-35 Vehicle Systems Structures and/or Sub-Systems in support of Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company (LM Aero). Coordinate evaluation of impacts from proposed problem resolutions. Remain current on all proposed and pending engineering changes for assigned systems and monitor systems performance indicators to identify emerging failure trends. This individual will provide field technical support to operational, training, and test sites. Coordinate required vendor and engineering support during investigation, fact finding, and resolution/disposition.
Must be able to effectively utilize technical and engineering data to perform problem analysis and repair at the sub-system level. Support program technical interchange meetings and program plans development relating to problem analysis and disposition and in-house technical support.
Must be a US citizen. This position requires special access and ability to obtain a Secret clearance to be considered. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Candidate must be willing to support any possible shift or weekend support depending on the need of the customer.
Must be willing to travel as it could be over 50% of the time.

Basic Qualifications:Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
Prior aircraft production, military service aircraft maintenance, logistics, and/or support.
Ability to develop maintenance planning documents.
Comprehension of engineering and maintenance logistics principles.
Must be able to work overtime, and travel, as required.
Desired Skills:Experience with aircraft technical publications and blueprint drawings.
Airframe and Powerplant Certification.
Exposure to 2/3D illustration and modeling software.
Hands-on aircraft maintenance experience.
***Must be willing to travel, as required, to support damage repair events and other department needs for extended periods of time***

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
