Job Description:
The Vehicle Quality Coordinator is responsible for performing inspections on vehicles to ensure they are meeting company and client standards. The tasks this role will be responsible for include but are not limited to direct workflow, perform audits, identify matters requiring correction, perform inspections/preps.
Essential Job Functions:
- Complete minimum of 4 vehicles daily
- Complete form for each vehicle.
- Interior functionality
- Exterior component functionality
- Test Drive – functionality (e.g. Lane Assist, Park Assist, SmartCruise, AutoPark)
- File completed form in database.
- Inspect vehicles for damage, leaks, and improper adjustment.
- Test vehicles for wear-and-tear damage.
- Check for illegal equipment.
- Ensure vehicles comply with emission standards and regulations.
- Recommend improvements to vehicles that fail inspection.
- Communicate with operations manager vehicle compliance pass/fail.
- When not performing Quality Inspections, candidate will be working with Retrofit Coordinators to obtain required information needed to successfully launch new vehicle retrofit programs.
Candidate will be interacting with Engineering, Quality, Software Validation teams and Company Vehicle Operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be a high energy individual with a strong work ethic and desire to succeed
- Basic skills with computer operation and applications
Requires the Following Skills:
- Ability to read and understand written inspection criteria.
- Ability to maintain accurate counts of inspected items.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to use tools like calipers, gauges, and micrometers when required.
- Ability to operate electronic inspection equipment and software.
- Ability to operate software testing equipment/scanners
- Must have excellent communication and teamwork skills
