What does a successful Senior Software Development Engineer do?

They play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications, by collaborating with cross-functional teams. They ensure the delivery of innovative solutions that align with our business goals and meet our clients' evolving needs.
What you will do:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of software applications to support Fiserv's business goals.
- Perform coding, testing, and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Maintain and improve existing codebases, lead peer review processes and mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
What you will need to have:
- 6+ years of experience in software development.
- Experience in Java, C, C#, C++, or similar programming languages.
- Experience in SQL databases.
- Experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP services.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent military experience.

- Experience in the financial services industry.
Important information about this role:
- This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experience help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
