Description:We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer / Technical Lead with deep expertise in the IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) to lead installation, configuration, and sustainment activities in support of mission-critical programs. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience deploying Maximo in federal/DoD environments, along with specialized knowledge of Maximo Asset Configuration Manager (ACM) and Maximo for Aviation.
As a technical lead, you will serve as the primary SME for Maximo architecture, integrations, and lifecycle management while mentoring junior staff and guiding best practices across the team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the installation, configuration, sustainment, and upgrade of IBM Maximo Application Suite environments.
Provide technical expertise in Maximo ACM and Maximo for Aviation to support asset-intensive federal and defense programs.
Troubleshoot, optimize, and secure Maximo environments, ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity and IT standards.
Mentor and coach junior engineers/administrators, fostering technical growth and knowledge transfer.
Collaborate with program stakeholders to design and deliver integrations with enterprise systems (ERP, GIS, SSO, etc.).
Document processes, configurations, and solutions to support sustainment and audits.
Basic Qualifications:Experience with IBM Maximo (7.6 and/or MAS 8).
Proven experience with Maximo ACM and Maximo for Aviation.
Strong background in federal/DoD IT environments, including knowledge of security and compliance requirements (e.g., RMF, DISA STIGs).
Proficiency in programming/scripting (e.g., Jython, Python, Java, automation scripts) within Maximo.
Solid experience with SQL development, queries, and reporting in Maximo environments (DB2/Oracle).
Technical expertise in Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes, WebSphere/Liberty, and related technologies.
Experience leading technical teams and mentoring junior staff.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Desired Skills:IBM Maximo certifications (e.g., Deployment Professional, Maximo MAS Specialist).
Experience with DoD programs, aviation sustainment, or asset management in highly regulated industries.
Familiarity with Maximo Integration Framework (MIF) for data exchange and enterprise integrations.
Experience with Maximo Anywhere, Maximo Monitor, or related MAS applications.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines for Maximo deployments (Jenkins, GitLab, Ansible, etc.).
Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, Zero Trust, FedRAMP) and secure configuration best practices.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevSecOps practices.
Strong presentation and mentoring skills, with the ability to train and guide junior team members.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $125,600 - $217,695. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
