Description:You will be the Metrologist Sr. for the Ocala Operations team. Our team is responsible for supporting the manufacturing workforce with a strong engineering and operations support team.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Metrologist, you will be responsible for monitoring and improving the quality of our operational processes and outputs. You will calibrate and maintain precision measurement equipment, develop and implement calibration procedures, and conduct precise measurements to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Calibrate and maintain a variety of precision measurement equipment.
- Develop and implement calibration procedures, schedules, and documentation.
- Conduct precise Geometrical-Dimensional-Tolerancing (GD&T) measurements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to measurement discrepancies and equipment malfunctions.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to clarify metrology requirements and support project completion.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:-Minimum of 5 years of related experience in metrology, calibration, or a related field
-Knowledge of implementing calibration procedures, schedules, and documentation in alignment with standards such as ISO 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540.3
-Experience with maintaining detailed records of calibration activities, equipment performance, and compliance with traceability requirements
-Experience with automation for calibration (MET/CAL, MET/TEAM)
Desired Skills:-Subject Matter Expert (SME) in metrology software platforms (Fluke MET/CAL, MET/TEAM, Polyworks)
-Cross-disciplinary calibration techniques (DC/LO, RF, Vibration, Acoustics, Optical, Temp/Humidity, Pressure, Force, Flow, Phys-D).
-Calibration System Automation (MET/CAL, MET/TEAM)
-Compliance Dimensional Metrology & CMM Operations (Polyworks)
-Measurement Uncertainty & Quality Systems Audits SQL, LabVIEW, VB, and MET/CAL Scripting Infrastructure & Server Migration (Lab Systems)
-GD&T
-Ensures compliance with all safety protocols, quality standards, and best practices in metrology and calibration

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
