Amentum is looking for a Plumber to join our team in Washington DC. You will work independently to perform construction and maintenance actions of a Journeyman Plumber at our customer's Government site.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Install and repair pipes and fixtures and open clogged drains
- Install vents and traps in the plumbing system, in accordance with required codes
- Utilize appropriate plumbing and shop tools
- Work from preventive maintenance schedules
- Assist outside contractors, as required, with knowledge of facilities, operations, and utilities
- Cut openings in floors and walls to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
- Assemble and install valves, pipe fittings, and pipes
- Perform other job-related work as assigned
- Direct other repair personnel, as assigned
Minimum requirements:
- Must have a valid Journeyman Plumbing license
- Must have or obtain within one year and maintain Back Flow Prevention Testing and Maintenance certification
- A willingness to work rotational shift if necessary, including days, evenings, and nights as well as overtime, weekends, and holidays as required
