The Homeland Group is looking for an experienced current NFIP Regional Liaison to serve as the Supervisor of Amentum’s existing team supporting the FEMA National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) contract. The duties of this role are in addition to existing Regional Liaison duties in support of the NFIP. In addition to continuing to serve as a Regional Liaison, the individual will have supervisory duties for all other Amentum Regional Liaison personnel and interface on behalf of Amentum with the Prime’s Regional Liaison Team Lead.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record of performance as a current Amentum Regional Liaison and at least 3 years’ of relevant experience in a supervisory capacity across their career, and must reside in FEMA Region 2 (New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico)
The National Flood Insurance Program Regional Liaison Supervisor will:
- Continue to perform all their duties as a Regional Liaison.
- Approve employee timesheets, including ensuring staff adherence to Amentum timekeeping policies.
- Track Amentum employee travel requests and Government approvals of travel under the contract.
- Monitor staff leave plans in conjunction with the Prime’s Team Lead, and reconcile team time entries on a bi-weekly basis across Amentum and the Prime’s time keeping systems.
- Attend bi-weekly PEA Homeland PM Meetings when client demands allow to gain visibility into Homeland Practice and Amentum corporate developments.
- Monitor Amentum employee completion of mandatory Amentum trainings and client-mandated mandatory FEMA trainings.
- Assist in the onboarding of any new Regional Liaisons as well as with any staff departures from the contract, including submitting required Amentum forms for onboarding and out-processing in conjunction with the Homeland Director and Homeland HR Partner.
- Conduct annual evaluations of Amentum Regional Liaison personnel in conjunction with the Homeland Director, according to Amentum HR policies.
- Disseminate Amentum corporate announcements and policy information to Amentum employees supporting the program.
- Represent Amentum as the face of our support to the program while interfacing with the Prime’s Regional Team Lead.
- Support the Prime’s Team Lead in their management of execution by Amentum personnel supporting the contract.
- Provide any required support for Monthly Report preparation.
- Support Amentum requests for program information as needed.
- Support Amentum business development efforts in the FEMA arena through responses to data calls and requests for proposal writing support.
- Recommend process improvements for NFIP Regional Liaison operations and identify opportunities to enhance Regional Liaison support to FEMA and FEMA stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 7 years directly relevant experience, with direct experience supporting flood related insurance work and/or flood insurance stakeholder engagement either in the private insurance sector, for FEMA, or a relevant State-level insurance regulator. Experience in the write-your-own policy field, and/or other experience as an agent is desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree and seven (7) years of job-related experience, or a high school diploma and fifteen (15) years of job-related experience.
- 3+ years in formal supervisory/management roles or similar demonstrated ability to manage teams and individuals in other venues (to include volunteer organizations).
- Must Live within respective Regional Liaison region
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the government clearance / suitability determination as required to work on the program. U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain suitability.
- Holding a FEMA Public Trust within the past twelve months is strongly preferred
- Must reside in FEMA Region 2 (New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico)
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Close attention to detail.
- Demonstrated adherence to expense reporting and monthly reporting input requirements for the NFIP contract.
- Demonstrated proactive actions to improve NFIP Regional Liaison team operations and/or assist peer Regional Liaisons.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects office equipment; use fingers and hands to type or write; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to Lift up to 15 lbs, bend, reach, carry, stoop, kneel, climb, etc.
Work Environment:
This position is Hybrid and is performed mostly in an open office environment with the requirement to come into the office when needed
Compensation
The annual starting salary for this position is between 90-100k annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
