Core Testing & QA Skills
● Test Planning & Strategy
● Develops end-to-end test plans aligned with the Workforce Regulatory & Safety (WRS) business requirements and state regulations.
● Defines scope of testing (unit, system, integration, UAT, regression).
● Risk-based testing approaches to prioritize regulatory-critical functions.
● Test Case Design & Execution
● Writes detailed test cases mapped to requirements and compliance rules.
● Ensures traceability between requirements, test cases, and regulatory standards.
● Manages execution across functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.
● Defect Management
● Leads defect triage sessions with business, development, and vendor teams.
● Establishes severity and priority definitions consistent with state governance standards.
● Monitors resolution and retesting cycles.
● Test Automation
● Familiarity with Salesforce-compatible automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Provar, Copado Robotic Testing).
● Ability to set up frameworks for regression automation on high-volume processes (claims intake, case investigations, employer submissions).
Salesforce-Specific Knowledge
● Strong understanding of Salesforce Service Cloud and custom Lightning applications.
● Experience testing Flows, OmniScripts, and OmniStudio components.
● Validation of integration points with legacy systems (e.g., IBM Informix/AS400, IVR, payment processors).
● Familiarity with Salesforce data model, custom objects, security/sharing rules, and data migration testing.
● Knowledge of Salesforce release cycles and how to test upgrades.
Government & Regulatory Knowledge (Preferred)
● Awareness of state workforce and labor regulations (e.g., prevailing wage, certified payroll, workplace safety inspections).
● Experience with compliance-driven testing where failure may have legal or financial implications.
● Understanding of audit trails, reporting, and data retention requirements for government systems.
● Familiarity with federal and state reporting requirements
Leadership & Coordination Skills
● Leads onsite and offshore test teams, ensuring consistency in execution and reporting.
● Facilitates User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with state WRS staff (often non-technical users).
● Coordinates with project managers, business analysts, developers, and vendors.
● Reports testing progress, risks, and quality metrics to executive sponsors and governance boards.
Tools & Technical Proficiency
● Test management tools: Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or HP ALM.
● Defect tracking and reporting dashboards.
● Knowledge of SQL/SOQL for backend validation.
● Exposure to API testing tools (Postman, SOAP UI) for Salesforce and API integrations.
● Experience validating data migration through ETL tools (Informatica, MuleSoft, Fivetran, etc.).
Soft Skills
● Excellent communication skills to explain defects, risks, and testing concepts to non-technical government stakeholders.
● Strong documentation and reporting abilities—often required for compliance audits.
● Adaptability for fixed state timelines and procurement-driven milestones.
● Ability to manage testing under constraints (budget, legacy dependencies, compliance deadlines).
