What does an exceptional Application Support Advisor do?
In this role, you will support utilities and applications for managing services configurations; addressing client/vendor/internal escalated requests for assistance; and engage with implementation teams on the build-out of applications. You’re overall understanding of DevOps and fundamental multi-tier application support is critical in this role. Additionally, you will provide business continuity support for the Cash and Logistics products.
What you will do:
CA Server Automation which includes CA ITCM.
Experience with Windows systems troubleshooting within non-production and production multi-tier environments.
Create application monitoring scripts and automate alerts that can inform of problems in logs files.
Recommend performance and infrastructure capacity improvements as well as enhancements to existing macros and utilities in use.
Review turnover artifacts to ensure completion prior to executing production installs.
Support applications that support the Managed Services ATM fleet and Cash and Logistics.
Perform coordination of cross-functional departments to identify project issues, monitor action items and follow-up to ensure resolutions.
Ensure monitoring alerts and system events are risk assessed, prioritized, and worked aggressively.
A self-driven collaborator with ability to demonstrate critical thinking, providing options, recommendations, and additional actions relating to resolving issues, mitigating risks, and resolving escalated concerns while being able to work without constant guidance, and able to explore resolution based on extensive understanding of the function.
What you will need to have:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science/information systems, or equivalent
7+ years of IT experience with background in development or operations support with direct experience in Windows Systems Administration and/or Windows development.
Experience with CA Server Automation, Windows, SQL servers and databases.
Experienced in Agile and DevOps environments and cultures, as well as a good understanding of data communications protocols such as TCP/IP and creating dashboard for Splunk/App dynamics/ExtraHop a plus.
Strong analytical problem-solving ability – thinking out of the box.
Solid experience scripting in PowerShell
Ability to work off hours/weekends and 24x7 on-call when required.
Maintain and/or create technical support documentation, and work with resources to assume the same.
What would be nice to have:
5+ years’ experience with software automation technologies
ATM application knowledge is a plus.
Exposure to automated testing and willingness to master and implement.
Willingness to learn and maintain legacy applications.
Basic knowledge of Linux a plus
Knowledge of Azure a plus
