Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Battery Pack Production Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Production Engineer, Digital Engineering.
The primary responsibility of this role is to lead and support the development and integration of reality capture, AR/VR, and plant / vehicle 3D technologies projects to benefit the Production Engineering & Manufacturing team during new model development phase with focus on digitalization and long-term sustainment.
Reporting to an Engineering Manager, the person in this role will support the Battery Pack Production Engineering department’s objective to reduce project lead time and rework through use of reality capture, AR/VR, and 3D technology for the production engineering team. Additionally, this person will be the facilitator behind “CAD Support Requests” and “3D Printing Request” systems.

What you’ll be doing
Maintain / Manage shop Digital twins, including completing the scans, converting the point cloud data, creating Navisworks study files, and support engineer / vendor access to data.
Maintain / Manage equipment 3D library, update with OEM models, scan existing equipment, update models post modification.
Lead / Support AR/VR integration into engineer job way
Manage / Maintain hardware.
Configure AR/VR 3D files and load to headsets.
Support working group field trials.
Facilitate integration / issue escalation of DIME supported systems.
Lead PACCC team cross shop Data / Technology job way adoption / integration.
Close collaboration between both internal and external groups across Toyota including NAMCs, TMC, TTC, PE support shops, & Plano divisions
Maintain / Manage shop 2D layouts, X-refs, and kamishibai drawings.
What you bring
BS in Design Engineering Technology or related field or 2-3 years of equivalent technical or professional experience.
Experience with Laser scanning Hardware / software.
Proficient with any of the following: AutoCAD, Catia, SolidWorks, Inventor.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products (excel, PowerPoint, word, outlook).
Experience with 3D printing and modeling.
Experience with project management and status reporting on assigned scope.
Ability to work overtime as needed up to 20%.
Ability to travel up to 25% both domestically and internationally.

Experience working with Robot Simulation.
