As Intern – Quality Engineer you will be part of Avio Aero Airfoils Quality team and you will support the delivery of products or services at a high level of quality, contributing to the establishment of a robust and effective process that aligns with both external and internal quality requirements. You will gain a comprehensive understanding of customer requirements, manufacturing processes and inspection methods, fostering on-time delivery while maintaining high-quality standards. You will actively support the team in identifying and leading cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing product quality and improving productivity in manufacturing processes. Collaboration with global engineering, supplier quality, and supply chain teams will be integral as the intern analyzes data, identifies root causes and implements solutions to address manufacturing quality issues.
Job Description
Essential Responsabilities
Active participation to all activities related to product validation (First Article Inspection; Validation Package collection and verification, etc.)
Learn how we manage the refinement of Process FMEA’s
Follow up the related action plan until all corrective actions have been implemented and the Lesson Learnt is institutionalized
Learn how to manage customer returns investigations and resolutions
Be part of daily meetings with Manufacturing/Quality/Engineering teams Standard Work
Take part in Daily Quality Notifications activities
Qualifications/Requirements
Master's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
Mechanical aptitude (i.e. understanding of mechanical processes)
Knowledge of technical drawings
Knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Word, Excel and Power Point
Fluent Italian and English
Strong oral and written communication attitude
Attention to detail and accuracy
Curious and eager to learn
Analytical mindset and problem solving skills
Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
Desired Characteristics
Previous experience in quality environment
Effective problem identification and solution skills
General knowledge of main quality problem solving tools (e.g. Ishikawa diagram, 5Wx3L, Pareto Diagrams, Control Charts, Gage R&R, etc.)
Study or internship experience abroad will be considered as a plus
