Accounting Manager - Netherlands

For our Dutch office we are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee our Financial Reporting and Accounting Operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in preparing statutory accounts, excellent communication skills and has a proficiency in SAP and strong excel skills.
Key Responsibilities: 
- Preparing/Reviewing Statutory Accounts with relevant team members in Netherlands and Chennai. Work with Consultants and Auditors in France, Sweden, Norway and United Kingdom, managing timely filing of Financials.
- Internal Tax reporting Netherlands to the Europe Tax Team and the Corporate office in the United States. Work with Europe Tax Team to setup reporting such that going forward they have the tools to take the Dutch tax reporting onboard.
- Further development of Europe Compliance Planner for tracking of progress on statutory compliance and audit status.
- External Tax – VAT – review report prior to filing; Payroll tax Submission for Payment
- External Tax – Work with Tax Consultant on Corporate Income Tax
- Provide supporting documentation and clarify questions received by the Dutch Tax Inspector during the general tax audit.
- Provide support for submitting the Annual Benchmark Report
- Accounting Operations:
- Work with Sr. Accountant on Dutch month/quarter-end close to ensure the ledgers of relevant entities are up to date and correct.
- Work with relevant teams internationally to ensure the ledgers of relevant entities are up to date and correct – consider Sweden, Norway, France, Italy – accruals, check on revenue and costs.
- Work with Sr. Accountant on Purchase Orders – analyse need for PO’s and follow up on any required changes.
- Work with Sr. Accountant on timely invoice processing, checking need for accruals
- Work with International Team on liquidations of targeted entities and Inter Company Settlements of Group balances either through cash or repoints
- Provide Europe Tax team with tax cash forecast report and review tax reporting tool reports correct roll forward provisions.
- Provide company secretary the required financial information for dividends/settlements/restructurings.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role, with a focus on statutory accounts preparation
- Strong proficiency in Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Good understanding of SAP
- Excellent communication skills with experience in managing and developing a team.
