Amentum is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team of passionate individuals in Fort Meade, MD. In this role you will support challenging, mission-critical projects that make a direct impact on the Nation’s security and intelligence mission.
Responsibilities:
The Software Engineer will work with a team of other principal and senior-level contributors to provide development and production support for the AdmitIT product in support of the Zero Trust architecture. The Software Engineer will be responsible for building, managing, and automating configurable AdmitIT/ICAM product installations for DoD customers.
The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.

• Experience developing with:

• Knowledge of ICAM Capabilities and Integration
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using ARM templates on Azure, Cloud formation on AWS, or Terraform
• Experience with writing Linux-based scripts for code integration and cron jobs using Bourne Shell, C, or Python and working in a command line environment
• Experience with containerization (Docker and Kubernetes)
• Experience with deployment languages (Puppet and Ansible)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills-Able to clearly communicate architecture and design concepts
• Ability to write technical documentation including wiki sites, blogs, XML/HTML
• Familiarity using Confluence and Jira
• Strong organization and time management skills, including the ability to multi-task and work independently with minimum supervision to meet deadlines
Clearance Required:
• Top Secret/SCI with polygraph
Minimum Education:
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in computer engineering or in a field related to computer engineering or computer science disciplines.
Minimum Years of Experience:
• 12+ years of Software Engineering experience. An additional 4 years of Software Engineering experience may be substituted for the degree for a total of 16 years. Five (5) years of work experience in the SIGINT, IA or IT domains.

The base salary range for this position is $223k to $243k. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
