What does a successful Project Management Advisor do at Fiserv?
You will join our team and lead projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are completed within budget, on schedule, and in accordance with quality standards. This role involves coordinating project resources, developing project plans, monitoring progress, and effectively communicating with stakeholders. You would also oversee project team members, provide guidance, and resolve any issues or delays that may arise during the project lifecycle.
What you will do:
Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and dependencies.
Assign tasks and responsibilities to project team members, ensuring clear understanding of roles and expectations.
Monitor project progress and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure adherence to project milestones and deadlines.
Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing effective contingency plans when necessary.
Manage project budgets, including forecasting and control of project expenses.
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and maintain strong relationships, ensuring effective communication and alignment of project objectives. This involves client-facing skills (internal and/or external) depending on project type.
Facilitate project meetings, providing accurate and timely status updates, as well as resolving conflicts or obstacles.
Ensure compliance with project management methodologies, standards, and best practices.
Conduct project evaluations and facilitate sessions to enhance project management practices and improve future projects.
Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
What you will need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Engineering, Technology, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience.
10+ years of professional experience as a Project Manager or equivalent position responsible for defining and managing project scope, timelines, profitability, and successful delivery of projects.
Experience in driving medium-to-large-size projects within an organization.
Proven understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
Experience managing cross-functional teams, working with stakeholders at various levels, and building strong relationships.
You must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization to be considered for this role. Individuals with temporary visas including, but not limited to, F-1 (OPT, CPT, STEM), H-1B, H-2, or TN, or any candidate requiring sponsorship, now or in the future, will not be considered for this role.
What would be great to have:
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred) or on track to achieve certification.
Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, or related field.
Agile, Lean, or Six Sigma certification(s).
Financial industry and/or manufacturing experience.
