Job Summary
Our indirect purchasing category team is a small but mighty global cohort responsible for MRO and perishable tooling. We have team members representing various regions around the world, ensuring we have a wide-reaching impact. As subject matter experts, we are responsible for making informed corporate decisions in the MRO and perishable tooling spaces. Our strategic responsibilities include supporting all Caterpillar facilities globally, ensuring their needs are met efficiently and effectively.
What the candidate will do
- The Category Buyer will be primarily responsible for managing MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) and perishable tooling matters. Below is a basic summary of the daily activities:
- Attend meetings with stakeholders and suppliers.
- Collaborate with other indirect purchasing individuals.
- Respond to larger dollar category spend requests.
- Ensure procurement activities align with strategic goals.
- Monitoring supplier performance metrics, addressing any issues that arise, and continuously improving supplier relationships.
- Handle various daily responsibilities as they come up.
Education requirement
- Degrees include, but are not limited to Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance or Accounting, Economics, Logistics, Operations Management, or any Engineering Degrees.
- Advanced English-speaking level.

Additional Details:
This position is located in Santa Catarina, Nuevo León.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Any relocation costs incurred would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
This position will require up to 10% travel.
The work schedule is set from Monday to Friday 7am-4pm.
