About your role:
As a Director Strategic Programs, you will oversee and manage initiatives within the Core Authorization team and ensure they align with goals and objectives. You will manage the day-to-day operations of the organization and manage the SVP priorities to ensure that key deadlines are met.
This position will sit in our Core Acquiring engineering group within the Fiserv Merchant Solutions (Payment Acceptance) business acting as a Chief of Staff. We process over 400 million payment transactions per day with a peak throughput of over 10,000 transactions per second while maintaining millisecond-fast response time; all of this is done for some of the largest merchants in the U.S.
What you will do:
- Operational Effectiveness
- Ensure compliance and best practices process are met. (i.e., Compliance Training, RTO, Timesheets).
- Identifying areas of improvement across the organization and making actionable recommendations.
- Effective presentations
- Lead meetings and workshops with meticulous planning and coordination.
- Project Management
- Plan and lead strategic initiatives to drive performance across the team as required.
- Financial Management
- Assist in the preparation of budget and financial reporting.
- Headcount Strategy
- Resource planning, utilization, and execution.
- Communication
- Facilitate effective and efficient communication between SVP, Leaders, Managers, staff, and Business Partners.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team leaders and staff.
- Measure Team Performance
- Determine performance indicators for the team and delivering to SVP.
- Provide data analysis and metrics on the team organization health and performance and suggest strategic initiatives to improve workflow, teamwork, and budget management.
- Problem Solving
- Identify issues and provide workable solutions, then communicate to the team, and track to resolution.
- Assist in decision making processes and function as an advisor to SVP.
- Relationship Building
- Interpersonal skills are paramount for the role and require strong relationships with team members across different departments and key stakeholders.
- Partner with HR, Finance and Vendor Management.
Experience you will need to have:
- 10+ years of experience working in a large, complex technology organization.
- 10+ years of experience in project management, specifically strategy and execution.
- 8+ years of experience in managing day-to-day operations.
- 8+ years of experience in business functions such as HR, Finance and Vendor Management.
- 6+ years of experience in financial services domain.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field (or foreign equivalent degree) or equivalent work experience.
