We have an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Health Safety Manager to join our Large Power Systems team to support Caterpillar large engine production at our Kiel facility.
What You Will Do:
Ensure safety/health/environmental programs are compliant with company standards, government regulations, and adequacy relative to local conditions
Identify safety/health/environmental hazards inherent in the organizations operations and establishes robust controls for protection from those hazards
Implement the corporate Safety Driven strategy
Engage with stakeholders at all levels to ensure safety/health/environmental collaboration
Ensure EHS training is completed to comply with regulatory requirements or in support of facility, division, or enterprise objectives
Conduct audits, inspections and acceptance of equipment and work procedures and, if necessary, define control measures
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in safety/health/environmental
Monitor periodic performance reports for trends and conditions, alerts line management to problems and makes recommendations for improvement
What You Have (Key Skills/Experience Required):
Completed technical/scientific studies, Security & Safety Engineering or comparable qualification
Training as an occupational safety specialist, if possible supplemented by additional qualifications in the field of waste, water and emission protection
Sound knowledge of current occupational safety, health and environmental protection regulations
Professional experience in a comparable position
Initiative, assertiveness and willingness to take responsibility
Team/communication skills
Knowledge and experience of manufacturing safety
Proficiency both in English and in German (spoken and written)

Additional Information:
We are back! This role requires being in the office five days a week.
Note - No Relocation is offered with this role.
