Caterpillar Inc. is the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, off-highway diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives. We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager Manufacturing Operations to join our Large Power Systems team to support Caterpillar large engine production at our Kiel facility.
What You Will Do:
Build, lead and engage a Manufacturing Operations organisation to establish a world-class manufacturing facility.
Direct all aspects of manufacturing operations for the facility in order to produce cost-effective, timely and high quality products in a safe and secure working environment.
Manage development, implementation and continual improvement of the operating methods, equipment, systems and other operating infrastructure used to realize operating goals and objectives.
Direct development of production work schedules to meet internal goals and customer expectations; monitoring process and employee performance of scheduled work activities to achieve established operating goals.
Oversee programs and practices for hiring, performance management and developing/training employees that perform and support the facility operations.
Maintain and build positive employee relations and an inspiring work environment.

Knowledge and significant experience of manufacturing operations
Knowledge and significant experience of manufacturing safety
Knowledge and significant experience of manufacturing standards, procedures and policies
Quality management
Budgeting
Analytical thinking
Performance management
Employee relations
Proficiency both in English and in German (spoken and written)
What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Skills):
Engineering or technical degree combined with extensive experience in the field
Previous Experience of Manufacturing Large Engines
Large Engine Manufacturing experience

Additional Information:
We are back! This role requires being in the office five days a week.
