Job Description Summary
The Training Coordinator reports to the GE Lafayette Plant Leader and works in a self-directed teaming structure. This position will be primarily responsible for maintenance of the Lafayette Engine Facility training programs and records and will support the development of training material to meet training needs. This role will provide an opportunity to lead training delivery (where qualified and needed). In addition, the position will be responsible for maintaining the LEF Drug Free Workplace Program and will have some administrative responsibilities outside of the training domain.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
- Serve as a member of and subject matter expert to the Lafayette Training Council
- Schedule and coordinate Lafayette Engine Facility training (technician progression courses, facility-wide training requirements, teaming classes, personal development)
- Maintain schedule for all approved training as well as a list of trainers approved to deliver trainings
- Ensure that each training module is delivered with the appropriate quality, that the instructor is professionally prepared, and delivers the key messages of the training
- Manage a database reflecting training status and tech level information
- Ensure timely updates to the site’s training website and revision-controlled training documentation
- Ensure accuracy of revision-controlled training and technician matrices
- Collaborate with the council to develop strategic training solutions across the site and to identify new training needs
- Collect feedback on current training curricula and support the development of classes to meet evolving training needs
- Act as a liaison between the IT and Quality Council to ensure compliance and stamp authorization
- Responsible for the implementation of new training systems as needed
- Create and cultivate relationships with external vendors to fulfill training needs
- Act as a resource for the teaming structure and processes and be an advocate of sharing knowledge across the site
- As required, deliver training modules when instructors are not available
- Support coordination of recruiting events, such as logistics for recruiting materials delivery to events, on an as needed basis
- Manage and ensure compliance to all regulatory requirements of the site Drug Free Workplace Program
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Associated Degree or a high school diploma/GED from an accredited school or institution

- Minimum of 3 years of administrative support or training coordination experience
