Overview
The Administrative Assistant supports the janitorial and facilities management team within an educational institution. This role ensures smooth administrative operations, assists with scheduling and compliance, and provides excellent communication between staff, vendors, and school leadership.
Pay: $22.00/hour
The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on the applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
401(k) – You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You become eligible for the ABM match beginning the first of the month following six months of employment. ABM matches your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions, dollar for dollar, for the first 3%. For the next 2%, ABM contributes $0.50 for each dollar you contribute. Your contributions and match are immediately vested.

Key ResponsibilitiesAdministrative Support:
- Maintain records of janitorial staff schedules, attendance, and work orders.
- Prepare reports, memos, and correspondence related to cleaning and maintenance activities.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and process purchase orders.
Scheduling & Coordination:
- Assist in scheduling janitorial staff for daily and special events.
- Coordinate with vendors for equipment servicing and supply deliveries.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Maintain documentation for inspections and compliance audits.
Communication:
- Serve as a point of contact between janitorial staff, school administration, and external contractors.
- Respond to inquiries and resolve minor issues promptly.
Financial Support:
- Process invoices, track expenses, and assist with budget monitoring for janitorial services.
Qualifications - Must have a Valid Start Driver's License
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred).
- 1–2 years of administrative experience; facilities or janitorial experience a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a fast-paced environment.
