A successful Quality Assurance Automation Lead — Senior Advisor at Fiserv leads automation strategy and frameworks, embeds shift‑left testing (TDD/BDD) across the CI/CD pipeline, and drives release stability through data‑driven test coverage and defect prevention. They also scale and mentor the QA automation team and partner with engineering, product, and operations to align testing with business and client outcomes.
What you will do
- Design, build and maintain scalable automation frameworks and test suites for UI, API, integration, and performance testing.
- Lead and coach a team of QA automation engineers, review automation code and drive technical direction.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, enable TDD/BDD practices and validate release readiness.
- Analyze test results, report test metrics, and drive root‑cause remediation to reduce production issues.
- Continuously improve automation coverage and processes to reduce manual testing and accelerate delivery.
What you need to have
- 7+ years of professional QA, SDET or software engineering experience (including automation).
- 4+ years hands‑on experience with test automation tools and languages (e.g., Selenium, RestAssured, Java or Python).
- 3+ years integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) and DevOps workflows.
- 2+ years leading or mentoring QA/automation engineers and driving team delivery.
What would be nice to have
- 2+ years’ experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) and analyzing performance metrics.
- 2+ years working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) in test/automation contexts.
- Relevant certifications or 1+ years implementing enterprise security or compliance testing in financial services.
