ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Add Market Intelligence (Customer & Marketing Events)
• Review statistical forecasts and recommend adjustments as necessary
• Gather information and collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Finance, and other functions to identify events and drivers of demand
• Incorporate customer- and market-driven events not captured by the statistical model using representative sales history and modeling techniques
• Create forecast scenarios using product history, past event data, customer/market analysis, cannibalization, substitution, and other relevant parameters
Account for Product Lifecycle (NPI and End of Life)
• Work with Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales and Finance to collect inputs and align assumptions
• Apply alternative approaches (market models, lifecycle profiles, data substitution) to test sensitivity across parameters and converge on the most probable forecast
• Generate and maintain system forecasts for new products and end-of-life exceptions
Others:
• Enable SC PLAN Team to meet or improve service and inventory targets by enhancing forecast accuracy and related measures for the portfolio
• Provide demand inputs to the S&OP / IBP process to ensure transparency of risks and opportunities; actively participate in Demand Review and other S&OP / IBP forums
• Provide SKU-level forecasts
• Maintain master data setup, perform forecast uploads, and produce KPI reports
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Education: University Bachelor’s Degree. MBA or equivalent preferred. Green Belt Six Sigma Certifications & Supply Chain Certification (CSCPM, APICS, IBF) desirable
- Years Experience: 5+ years related experience in Demand Planning position
- Preferred Experience with ERP (SAP) & Advanced Planning Systems (JDA S&OP, JDA Demand, APO, OMP) and advanced Excel skills preferred
