What will you do?
As a Principal Digital Architect - Data you will participate in defining functional designs and application systems architecture across various digital platforms as well as:
- Create comprehensive architecture deliverables that address complex business challenges and guide technical implementation.
- Lead technology evaluation and adoption, driving the deployment of innovative solutions to enhance digital capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable, high-performing digital solutions that deliver measurable results.
- Establish and enforce data architecture standards, ensuring consistency, security, and compliance across all platforms.
- Optimize performance and scalability of data platforms and applications to support growing business needs.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, fostering best practices in architecture and design.
This position works directly with Slovakia based engineering leadership and Cat Digital IT in Slovakia.
What you have:
- Application Design and Architecture: Knowledge of application design methodologies, tools, and techniques to convert business requirements and logical models into a technical application design.
- Data Architecture: Understanding of processes, techniques, and factors that affect data architecture, and the ability to design blueprints for integrating data resources for business processes and functional support3.
- Platform Architecture: Knowledge of technologies and methods to design processing mechanisms and roadmaps to execute business application systems; ability to design these roadmaps and deploy supportive interfaces for end-users to access related systems, in accordance with standards and processes.
- Cloud Architecture Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in AWS, with strong knowledge of core services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and related components to design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions.
- Data Integration & ETL Processes: Deep understanding of ETL workflows, including hands-on experience with ETL tools and techniques to ensure efficient data integration and transformation across diverse systems.
- Data Lake Management: Proven experience working with data lakes, preferably Snowflake, to store, manage, and analyze large-scale datasets effectively.
- Database Design & Optimization: Extensive experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, enabling the design and management of robust data storage solutions aligned with business requirements.
