Role OverviewAs a
Systems Integration & Test Engineer, you will lead the planning and execution of integration and test activities for a major Space & Missile Defense (SMD) program. You will develop and execute test plans, solve complex hardware/software interface challenges, and ensure that integrated systems meet stringent performance, safety, and quality standards.

Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for:
Integration & Test Execution• Develop, review, and execute comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for subsystems and full systems.
• Conduct integration of in-house developed, COTS, and GOTS components, subsystems, and systems.
• Resolve hardware/software interface issues and define system I/O parameters.
System Verification & Analysis• Perform testability assessments, system evaluations, and regression testing.
• Analyze test results, prepare detailed evaluation reports, and verify/validate performance compliance.
• Document discrepancies and track resolution through integration cycles.
Technical Leadership• Establish functional and technical specifications and testing standards.
• Coordinate testing activities across programs, labs, and partner organizations.
• Support lab, ground, and flight testing for complex aerospace systems.
Work Environment• Fast-paced engineering environment with hands-on system hardware interaction
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams and external partners
• Work may include laboratory, ground, and field test settings
• Occasional extended hours, alternate shifts, and travel to support testing operations
• Strong culture of safety, innovation, teamwork, and continuous learning
Basic Qualifications:Candidates must meet all requirements• System- or subsystem-level test experience
• Ability and willingness to work extended hours, off-shifts, and weekends as required
Desired Skills:“Nice-to-have” skills that strengthen candidacy• Current LM Certified Test Conductor (CTC) certification or equivalent
• Hands-on experience with Automation Frameworks
• Engineering expertise in test discipline—particularly error prevention, safety, controls logic, data acquisition, and instrumentation
• Experience integrating lab, ground, or flight hardware systems; or supporting flight tests for missiles, spacecraft, aircraft, or launch vehicles
• Familiarity with COTS equipment integration, mechanical/electronic troubleshooting, and Ground Support Equipment (GSE)
• Knowledge of current Test & Measurement Equipment (T&ME) and best practices
• Experience integrating shipboard systems
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment with occasional alternate shift work and travel

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
