Caterpillar's BCP division has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Representative covering eastern Canada.
Role Summary: You will act as s a sales liaison amongst dealers, customers, and other Caterpillar personnel. You will be accountable for contributing to the identification, analysis, and resolution of needs and problems in Building Construction Products (BCP). The position performs complex analysis work; identifies and resolves both tactical and strategic problems. Challenges include developing and meeting expectations in delivering results, considering and recommending alternative courses of action, and making timely decisions and developing greater communication skills.
What You'll Do (Primary Responsibilities):
Counsel dealers in developing increased human performance capability (i.e., value selling)
Provide guidance on existing and potential customer service issues and improvement measures
Assist dealers on annual target setting, BCP retail sales and rental services sales & ordering processes
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) rollout (i.e., new machines, new attachments, etc.)
Analyze and communicate marketplace and competitive activity to Cat personnel and dealers
Analyze product application, configuration, and utilization that provide the best solution for a customer
Assist dealers with monthly BCP business planning
Create and promote programs that increase sales while maximizing price realization
Develop required proficiency levels in the specified competencies and skills
What You Have (Core Skills):
Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the organization's industry group, trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations, and trendsetters
Effective Communications: Proven excellent listening, communication, and presentation skills
Negotiating: Ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner.
Value Selling: Proven abilities to effectively influence at all levels of dealer organizations
Relationship Management: Proven abilities to work effectively in teams, making the team they are part of stronger
Ability to travel up to 50% - 75%, potentially more if business needs dictate
English language fluency
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Prior experience in field assignments working with significant volume distributors or publicly traded dealer groups
Familiarity with North American business drivers
Demonstrated the ability to work on increasingly more complex assignments
Proven abilities to translate challenging goals into clear action plans that deliver results
Proven self-starter and strong initiative skills, ability to work autonomously
Demonstrated positive, can-do attitude
French language proficiency
Territory and Location Details:
Location: Caterpillar of Canada District Office (Woodbridge/Vaughan, ON, Canada)
Territory Coverage: Eastern Canada (Toromont, including Battlefield)
Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position

Summary Pay Range:
$108,400.00 - $135,500.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
