Role OverviewAs an
Advanced Manufacturing Technician Apprentice, you will:
• Learn to build and maintain aerospace components using precision techniques
• Develop technical skills like torquing, soldering, point-to-point wiring, and reading engineering documents
• Earn certifications such as
IPC 620 – Cable Harness Certification and
JSTD Limited Solder• Gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment
This apprenticeship is designed for
career growth—graduates often transition into full-time roles with increased responsibilities and competitive pay.
Key Duties & Responsibilities• Participate in a
9-week paid training program (progress contingent on successful completion of each phase)
• Work
40 hours per week during training
• Develop
technical skills essential to advanced manufacturing and aerospace production
• Perform
precision work on components ranging from 0.002” to 0.25”
• Apply industry and NASA standards to manufacturing processes
• Collaborate effectively in a
team-based environment• Opportunity to earn
multiple certifications fully funded by Lockheed Martin
• Post-training, contribute to production activities and support full-time operations
Work Environment• Paid training at
$17/hour, with benefits
• Hands-on work with tools and components; requires
manual dexterity and attention to detail• Facility operates
7 days per week with potential for
non-standard shifts post-training

Basic Qualifications:Candidates must meet all requirements below to be considered.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong
hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills• Basic computer skills
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated ability to
learn quickly and pass both written and hands-on certifications
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a
Secret security clearance• Willingness to work
first, second, or 3x12 (Fri-Sun) shifts post-training
Desired Skills:These “nice-to-have” skills strengthen candidacy but are not required.
• Experience with
Microsoft Office applications• Background in
electrical or electronic theory• Prior experience in an
aerospace or production environment• Demonstrated
integrity, teamwork, and conflict resolution skillsSecurity Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $31,616 - $50,591. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
