Overview of Position
The individual performing tasks shall have the responsibility and authority necessary to successfully accomplish the job responsibilities. The responsibilities of a Field Service Technician are to provide installation services, troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance services on medical devices on site at client locations. The primary duties of this position includes maintaining professional rapport with clients in addressing concerns, identifying solutions, suggesting improvements and recommending services. Documentation of service and installation actions by completing all forms, reports and records per company reporting standards. Works closely with service management in scheduling and managing travel with respect to prudent spending.

1. Proficient knowledge or aptitude to learn Operation Room Lighting and Equipment Management Systems installation and service actions. Proficiency includes cable pulling and installation activity.
2. Skilled in the diagnosis, troubleshooting, installing, repair, upgrades and maintenance of Equipment Management Systems.
3. Ability to terminate video cables and connections.
4. Professionally performs inspections and all assigned service activities.
5. Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by providing superior Customer Service to client partners.
6. Conveys project status to both internal support and external customers daily
7. Communicate with Field Service Manager for revenue generating opportunities
8. Submits paperwork including documentation for the service assignments and related expenses within time parameters.
9. Achieves compliance through completing training materials and immunizations maintenance to comply with vendor requirements.
10. Adheres to Company Policies and Procedures with respect to safety and compliance regulations. Identifies issues that require follow up and communicates with management.
11. Preserves a safe and clean work environment for orderliness and efficiency. Maintains area accessibility to authorized client staff. Complies with procedures, rules, and regulations with respect to exhibiting safe work habits and follows company policy on safe work practices.
12. As lead technician, provide peer training to enhance skill set of team.
13. Collaborates with peers to share best practices in industry.
Qualification Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One to two years minimum of field service experience in installation or construction
- Aptitude to detect, analyze and troubleshoot technical problems and accurately obtain, interpret and relay information and instructions through a variety of communication channels.
- Multitask oriented, organized, can set priorities, meet deadlines and take pride in one’s work working independently and/or within a team assignment.
- Requires the individual to be dexterous where physical and mental work is concerned as technician must be able to lift 75 pounds and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Competent in use of basic hand and power tools.
- 100% travel required
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 65 per week
