Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and operationally minded FP&A Analyst to support financial performance across our manufacturing operations. This role is deeply embedded in the plant environment, partnering with Production, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality teams to improve cost structure, drive operational efficiency, and enhance KPI visibility. The ideal candidate brings hands-on manufacturing finance experience, strong analytical skills, and a proactive mindset toward cost-out and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead plant-level forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning for production, labor, overhead, and material costs.
- Analyze actual vs. plan for key manufacturing cost drivers, including labor efficiency, scrap, rework, machine utilization, and yield.
- Prepare operational dashboards and monthly business reviews with clear insights on performance gaps and improvement opportunities.
Manufacturing KPI Development & Tracking
- Define, build, and manage manufacturing KPIs related to OEE, throughput, downtime, quality metrics, material usage variance, and cost per unit.
- Partner with plant management to interpret KPI trends and develop action plans to improve operations.
- Standardize reporting tools to ensure consistent and accurate data across manufacturing sites.
Cost-Out & Productivity Initiatives
- Identify and evaluate cost-out opportunities such as process optimization, automation, SKU rationalization, scrap reduction, and lean initiatives.
- Build cost-benefit and ROI models for operational improvement projects, capital investments, and sourcing decisions.
- Track realized savings, validate assumptions, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure initiatives deliver expected results.
Margin, Cost, and Variance Analysis
- Perform standard costing analysis, including BOM reviews, labor standards, overhead rates, and material variance analysis.
- Partner with Supply Chain on inventory valuation, slow-moving inventory analysis, and cost impacts from supplier changes.
- Support product costing, manufacturing cost roll-ups, cost-to-serve analysis, and pricing decisions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and Procurement to align financial goals with production strategies.
- Support plant leadership with financial insights to improve schedule adherence, production planning, and resource allocation.
- Translate financial findings into actionable recommendations for non-financial stakeholders at all levels.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; MBA or CPA/CMA preferred.
- 2–5+ years of experience in FP&A or operational finance within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, standard costing, BOMs, routings, and lean principles.
- Advanced Excel/Sheets modeling skills; experience with ERP systems
- Proven experience supporting KPI development and driving cost-out / continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work on the production floor as well as in corporate settings.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
