Job Description:
Position Summary:
The Business Operations & Strategy (BO&S) Lead needs to play a crucial role in guiding an organization's direction and ensuring long-term success of the site together with Site General Manager (GM).
As BO&S Lead, you will provide strategic partnership with Fuji Site leadership team (SLT), contribute to shaping site strategy, and drive outcomes in site focus areas in an aligned with long range Financial Plan, Site Asset Master Plan, and other site-wide strategic initiatives.
BO&S Lead plays critical role to help the site navigate challenges and seize growth opportunities effectively to keep achieving the site mission & vision, contributing to company business growth.
Regulatory Compliance Responsibilities:
You need to demonstrate the highest level of integrity and compliance, complying with all applicable regulations, GMP, and company / site policies / procedures.
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Strategic Planning & Deployment
Developing and implementing Fuji Site mid to long-term strategies aligned with the Fuji site's mission and vision. Taking a lead to shaping site strategy with strategic initiatives and drive outcomes in site focus areas in aligned with long range Financial Plan, Site Asset Master Plan.
Partnering with each function and site GM on organizational structure and set up, resources allocation as a site to deliver on business strategy and maximizing its impact inclusive of annual business planning and long-range financial planning.
Take a lead market research if necessary to identify opportunities, threats, and industry trends from external lens.
2. Governance Process & Performance Management
Driving entire strategic initiatives portfolio as a governance owner to deliver expected outcome as Fuji site together with SLT, DRIs and other cross-functional team members.
BO&S Lead is also responsible for keeping the governance process upgraded, maintaining its effectiveness as strategic platform of the site for strategy development till execution reflecting proactively internal and external changes.
Ensuring interconnectivity of strategic initiatives to operational agenda and supports in continuous improvement of the site to achieve operational goals together with Business Excellence and other functions.
Coordinating SLT level meeting together with SLT DSL (Decision Support Lead) and other meeting owners for effective meeting management in a synchronized manner as a site to deliver expected impactful outcomes.
Drive continuous improvement with Business Excellence Team and contribute to progress KAIZEN culture and organizational capability building.
3.Risk Management
Leading the Fuji BCP program for emergency case. Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate risks collaborating with global function, local team and SLT. Conduct comprehensive strategic diligence using global tools and frameworks to evaluate potential risks & opportunities and mitigation & leverage plans, drive governance process as an owner to progress BCP actions to ensure Fuji sustainable business operations in this ever changing external internal environment.
4.Stakeholder Communication
Communicating strategic directions, initiatives, its goals and performance updates to stakeholders, through different channels including global regional stakeholders and Fuji’s employees.
Partnering with global regional local strategy office and culture team to shape culture and employee engagement strategies guided by Our Credo. Partnering with business leadership, SLT to provide strategic context to overall communications plan.
5.BO&S Team management for providing expected services site wide
Managing BO&S team to provide expected services in site general affairs & administration, site communication, visitors and events management, GM assistant operations, on-boarding training arrangement, and any other general affairs tasks.
Developing our talents in BO&S as thriving team and keep improving our service quality to our employees and other stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Finance, Operations management or a related quantitative discipline is required (advanced degree preferred).
Minimum of 10 years of business experience is required.
Knowledge, Qualification and Skills:
Business level English and Japanese(Negotiation level is mandatory)
Supply Chain experience in regulated manufacture industry (i.e. Pharma, Medical Device, Chemical, Cosmetics, Food/Beverage, FMCG)
Strong business acumen and financial acumen.
Lead project management experience and cross-functional management skills, with proven ability to collaborate across functions, and regions.
Operational Excellence (any certifications preferred), Project Management experience.
High-level management presence with impactful communication skills, capable of engaging with leadership and influencing strategic decisions making.
