About the Role
About the role:
Partner Development Manager at Workday would likely be responsible for supporting the broader partner development strategy and working with a specific set of partners. The role would focus on learning and contributing to the growth and success of these partnerships.
Partner Relationship Management:
- Serving as a point of contact for assigned partners.
- Building and maintaining strong, positive relationships based on trust and mutual benefit.
- Facilitating communication and resolving partner inquiries.
Partner Enablement:
- Assisting in the development and delivery of training and resources to help partners understand Workday's solutions and effectively go to market.
- Supporting partner onboarding activities.
- Helping partners navigate Workday's partner programs and processes.
Go-to-Market (GTM) Support:
- Contributing to the development and execution of joint GTM initiatives with partners.
- Supporting the creation of marketing materials and sales enablement tools.
- Assisting in the coordination of joint events and activities.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Tracking partner performance against key metrics.
- Assisting in the analysis of data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Contributing to regular reporting on partner activities and progress.
Internal Collaboration:
- Working closely with internal teams (sales, marketing, services) to align partner activities with Workday's overall strategy.
- Advocating for the needs of their assigned partners within Workday.
Market Research and Analysis:
- Conducting research to identify potential new partners or areas for growth within existing partnerships.
- Staying up-to-date on industry trends and the competitive landscape.
Product Integration & Localization Enablement
- Drive product integration initiatives between Workday and partner solutions in collaboration with partners and Workday Product Management and Engineering teams.
- Represent Japan-specific requirements, including payroll regulations, labor compliance, and time management practices, within Workday’s global product organization.
- Support partners through integration design, roadmap alignment, and deployment readiness.
About You
Requirements:
- Typically 3 years or more of professional experience in areas such as partner management, business development, sales, account management, or a related field within the technology industry (SaaS experience is often a plus).
- Some experience working with or for technology partners would be beneficial skills.
- Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with partners.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Analytical Skills: Analyze data and draw insights.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.
- Collaboration: Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Learning Agility: Eagerness to learn about Workday's solutions, partner programs, and the broader ecosystem.
- Technical Aptitude: Comfort with technology and understanding of SaaS concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) is often a plus
