Cloud Engineering Sr
What does a successful Cloud Engineer at Fiserv do?
The primary objective of the role is to lead the definition and implementation of secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud architectures on AWS and Azure, driving migrations and modernization, automating operations, and optimizing performance and stability to enable the business's technology strategy.
Work mode: in person at our offices in Parque Patricios - CABA
What you will do:
- Build of scalable, secure, and performant solutions in the cloud platform AWS and Azure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, product managers, and customer stakeholders to define technical solutions aligned with business goals.
- Conduct IaC code reviews and provide technical leadership.
- Support cloud migration projects, including re-platforming and re-architecting legacy workloads to AWS and Azure.
- Optimize cloud resource usage, focusing on performance, cost-efficiency, and operational excellence.
- Stay updated on aws and azure cloud technologies, AI, and Cloud Engineering, contributing to internal knowledge sharing.
- Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for stability, performance, cost, and security.
What you need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field;
- Proven experience as an Infrastructure as Code;
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts on AWS and Azure;
- Proven and strong experience of cloud native services such as AWS Lambda, ECS, EKS, CloudFront, API Gateway, Redis Cache, SNS, SQS, Step Function, S3 and RDS.
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, Azure Resource Manager or AWS CloudFormation
- Strong knowledge in 1+ scripting language (Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript, Python);
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools such as (Gitlab, Harness, Ansible or equivalent);
- Understanding of computing and networking foundation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently;
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills;
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
What would be ideal to have (desirable):
- Experience with containerization technologies like AWS EKS, ECS, Docker, Kubernetes and Azure AKS.
- Familiarity and experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud);
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure as code;
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools like AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Splunk, Dynatrace;
- AWS and Azure certification - intermediate level. Professional level are a plus.
