Job Summary and Qualifications
POSITION SUMMARY:
1. Under the general direction of the Director of Facilities Management and/or Safety Officer, prepares meeting minutes and meeting materials as needed.
2. Supports the Director of Facility Management by compiling reports from the work order system.
3. Performs administrative and clerical support services for Facilities Management, Food and Nutritional Services and Environmental Services.
4. Recognizes the purpose of employment is to prioritize the patient as number one.
5. Fulfills the duty and responsibility to maintain competence and to continue personal and professional growth.
6. Identifies and assists with opportunities for performance improvement activities on the unit and with other service areas.
7. Demonstrates fiscal responsibility by taking ownership of time management, decreasing waste (of time and supplies) and promoting cost effectiveness.
8. Interactions with patients and colleagues demonstrate compassion and respect for the inherent dignity, worth, and uniqueness of every individual, unrestricted by considerations of social or economic status or cultural beliefs.
9. Communicate effectively with other care providers (physicians, nurses, and satellite staff) to provide for continuity of patient care and to meet the needs of the customers we serve.
10. Demonstrates ability to fulfill requirements of attendance, punctuality.
11. Behaviors and interactions demonstrate a positive attitude, personal initiative and motivation to achieve the goals of the units.
12. Upholds the standards of the profession and organization and practice ethically and with integrity.
13. Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Education required and/or preferred:
REQUIRED: None
PREFFERED: Proficient in use Microsoft Office, Computer Skills competency
Licensure/Certification: None
PREFFERED: Five (5) years previous experience in a hospital setting with duties related to administrative assistant, clerical support.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Competency in the use of MS Office, Meditech, KRONOS, SISCO, TMA applications, FM Reg X. Excellent written and oral communication skills, organized with attention to detail
