Work Arrangement : Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM Global Technical Center – Cole Engineering Center, Warren, MI , three times per week, at minimum.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to dive into the world of Global Purchasing & Supply Chain, where you will play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of automotive solutions and help reimagine how we source, buy, and move materials at scale. This GPSC MBA internship places you at the center of Software & Technology Purchasing—one of the fastest growing and most strategically critical areas within GM’s supply chain. You will work at the intersection of software licensing, digital technologies, cybersecurity, data platforms, and complex contract negotiations, helping GM secure the tools and technology that power our transformation toward software defined future. This 10- to 12-week internship is designed for current college students eager to gain hands-on experience and make impactful contributions to our team.

Required Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in an MBA program

Must be graduating between December 2026 - June 2027

2–5 years of professional experience in procurement, supply chain, technology, consulting, or business strategy

Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week during the summer months
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

JD–MBA or experience with contracts, negotiations, intellectual property, licensing, or compliance

Knowledge of sourcing, supplier performance management, and total landed cost concepts

Exposure to the AI software ecosystem, including evaluation of AI vendors, costing AI solutions, licensing models, data-rights considerations

Process & ops orientation: Demonstrated experience improving business processes or applying analytics in procurement, operations, finance, consulting, or tech

Proficient with Microsoft office products - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and with modern AI tools like Glean, Slack.

Ability to create automated agents in Glean will be a plus

Interpersonal and relationship management skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with varying levels of the organization
